There and Back Again.

This project was part of my Visual Language module for my MA with Falmouth University. It is based on combining the circular stories of The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein & The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. I chose to plot the similarities rather than the geographical locations as the stories are alike in a remarkable number of ways. Each focuses on a main character undertaking a journey accompanied by friends, but the real goal is ultimately to return home. I loved combining painting collage, mono printing & typography to create a digitally compiled finished piece.
